Burger King: All 89 Yi-Ko locations to reopen


The 89 restaurants of the insolvent Burger King franchisee Yi-Ko will re-open. The chain has issued a provisional license to the company’s insolvency administrator. According to the announcement, Burger King Europe is also financing the restart with a debtor-in-possession loan in the millions. Yi-Ko hit the headlines due to a hygiene scandal that prompted Burger King to terminate all contracts with the franchisee in November, forcing it to close all its locations. Last week, Yi-Ko filed for insolvency.
