Hanover: Is ECE planning an office property on former AOK area?
ECE is interested in developing the former AOK headquarters area in Hanover, according to a newspaper report. The “Hannoverische Allgemeine Zeitung” report said the Hamburg-based developer wants to construct a seven-story office building with 30,000 sqm of rental space on the site that has been unused for years. A construction cost of €55mn was estimated, and the contracts for the site were said to be “almost all wrapped up.” ECE has thus far spoken of the subject only in very general terms, saying that Hanover is in general quite attractive for the development of hotel, office, residential, and logistics projects. The company told TD that “currently, there are no projects far enough along to be ready for a decision.”
