Munich: Rosewood Hotel planned in “KF1”

The American luxury hotel group Rosewood Hotels & Resorts is planning its first German location in Munich. The chain has established a management contract with Bayerische Hausbau for the KF1 ensemble (Kardinal-Faulhaber-Straße 1) in the old center of the city. Starting in early 2019, the property’s more than 20,000 sqm floor space will be converted into 86 rooms and 46 suites measuring between 40 sqm and 200 sqm. A restaurant for about 100 guests, a bar seating up to 150, and a 1,300 sqm spa area will be publicly accessible via separate entrances. There will also be a conference area for up to 400 participants. The architectural draft is being developed in cooperation with Munich-based Hilmer Sattler Architekten Ahlers Albrecht. More than €100mn are to be invested in the conversion. The Rosewood hotel is scheduled to open in early 2023.
