AEW and Catella AM buy office complex in Dresden
AEW and Catella Asset Management have formed a joint venture and bought an office and retail complex in Dresden’s Striesen-West district. The property consists of two connected building sections on Blasewitzer Straße 78-82, which were built in 1995 and total about 16,200 sqm lettable space and 170 underground parking spaces. The 936 sqm of the ground floor are taken up by ten shop units. The complex is 95 % leased. The seller, a release states, is a Luxembourg fund represented by Optimum Asset Management S.A. AEW was legally advised by Norton Rose Fulbright and received technical support from CBRE. The buying joint venture was advised by DLA Piper and Dentons. Cushman & Wakefield supported the seller. Financing was provided by Berliner Sparkasse. Berlin-based EB Group had bought the building in early 2015.
