Barbara Knoflach leaving BNP Paribas REIM

Barbara Knoflach, Deputy CEO and Global Head of Investment Management at BNP Paribas REIM since 2015, has decided to leave the company. Her position will be assumed by Nathalie Charles (53) as of 1 July. Under Knoflach’s leadership, the investment manager’s AUM increased from €22bn to €29bn. She considers her mission of establishing BNP Paribas REIM “as a key market player in Europe” to be accomplished. It is now time for new professional challenges, Knoflach states. Prior to joining BNP Paribas REIM, she had been head of the real estate funds unit of SEB AM, which was taken over by Savills in 2015. Charles joins from Axa IM Real Assets, where she was in charge of the property business as Head of Development and European Country Teams. She is tasked with boosting assets under management to €34bn by 2020.
