Bauwo to develop speculative logistics park in Lower Bavaria

The project development company Bauwo has acquired approx. 20 hectares located near the A68 motorway near the Pilsting-Großköllnbach exit at Dingolfing, where it is planning to develop an initial 100,000 sqm of logistics space. This information was obtained through a logistics market report by the investment firm LIP Invest. The building was designed as a multi-tenant property and construction is due to start in the near future without pre-letting. LIP Managing Director Bodo Hollung says that “supply routes over Austria and the Czech Republic are becoming increasingly important, which is beginning to make the region northeast of Munich interesting for speculative building projects”. He believes it is very likely that the nationwide volume of new logistics construction in 2018 will be higher than last year’s 3.7 million sqm. Hollung expects yields to remain at their current level of slightly below 5% for a while longer.
