Berlin: Ex-Alstria managers and Fortress develop 29,000 sqm office space
Stoke Park Capital and Fortress Investment Group are creating 29,000 sqm lettable office space in Berlin-Charlottenburg. The joint venture is refurbishing the landmarked eight-story Oberpostdirektion on Dernburgstraße. The structure should be ready for occupation by early 2021. It was built in 1925 and contains a courtyard and parking spaces on Lietzensee. Lead brokers are BNP Paribas Real Estate and Savills, Bollinger + Fehlig Architekten is planning and managing the refurbishment. Stoke Park Capital is run by two former Alstria managers, Christoph Unger and Birte Brandes. Unger most recently worked for Perella Weinberg. According to the website, the company has invested €1.1bn since its founding, including two portfolios with grocery markets and retail parks.
