Berlin: Modernization of Gropius Passagen completed
Modernization work has been completed on the Gropius Passagen in Berlin’s Neukölln district. The owners, TH Real Estate and Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield, have invested around €125mn in the work since the fall of 2014. Berlin’s largest shopping center now has 150 stores on around 90,000 sqm including a Karstadt which opened in October 2018; stores to open next year include Primark and Decathlon. The property’s UCI multiplex cinema is also undergoing renovation. Additional anchor tenants are Peek & Cloppenburg, Media Markt, C&A, H&M, Aldi, Kaufland, Rossmann, and Müller.
