Berlin: Scout24 leases 14,000 sqm at Edge near city’s main station

Edge Technologies has a primary tenant for its “Grand Central” project near Berlin’s main rail station. The Scout24 Group, with its real estate brand Immobilienscout24, will move into approx. 14,000 sqm of office space in the 3rd quarter of 2020. The MDax-listed company was advised for the transaction by Colliers International and Combine Consulting. Immobilienscout24 currently has its headquarters at Andreasstraße 10 near Berlin’s east rail station. The nine-story new building on Emma-Herwegh-Straße will have 20,000 sqm in all and, according to Edge, will be the “smartest” office building in Germany. It will have office and community space with a focus on the health and well-being of tenants; DGNB has already pre-certified the building with platinum and it is Germany’s first building to be certified according to the “Well Building Standard”. The foundation stone was laid in September. The owner is TH Real Estate.
