Berlin: Taurecon starts construction of 100,000 sqm office space on Heidestraße

Construction has begun on 104,000 sqm office space in the “Quartier Heidestraße” near Berlin’s main station. Developer Taurecon has now received the building permit for the “QH Track” ensemble and started construction right away. The complex will consist of nine structures drawn by Swiss architecture firm EM2N that will offer work space for about 8,500 employees. Plans include five office towers with elven to 14 floors, as well as 460 underground parking spaces. Completion of the individual sections is scheduled between 2021 and 2023. The “QH Track” is being financed with €400mn by Landesbank Baden-Württemberg (LBBW). As the bank recently released, Aggregate Holdings of Luxembourg, which is a majority shareholder of Consus Real Estate, has also joined the project. The entire “Quartier Heidestraße” will have about 159,500 sqm office and commercial space and roughly 920 apartments.
