Berlin: Westbrook buys Grenanderhaus near Alexanderplatz
Westbrook Partners has acquired the “Grenanderhaus” near Berlin’s Alexanderplatz. The landmarked office building at Rosa-Luxemburg-Straße 2 and Dircksenstraße 35 has roughly 8,400 sqm floor space and is nearly fully leased. Patrizia Immobilien is selling the property as part of an individual mandate, with legal consulting provided by K&L Gates. Westbrook was supported by Celexis, EY, Brand Berger, and GSK Stockmann. The Grenanderhaus was built on a 1,850 sqm lot between 1928 and 1930 as an administration building of Berlin’s public transport company Berliner Verkehrsbetriebe. Westbrook plans to convert the lettable space of the brick structure and create loft-style office spaces. The investment company states that it has now acquired five German office assets in the last twelve months.
