BF.capital launches first fund and hires Jan von Graffen
Financing broker BF.direkt is getting into the funds business via its subsidiary BF.capital. The first vehicle for institutional investors is to invest in senior and junior secured debt instruments for developments and existing properties, mainly in German metropolitan cities with a target volume of at least €200mn. The fund is issued under Luxembourg law. The BF.capital funds will generally have 7-year terms, explains head of BF.capital Manuel Köppel. He is bringing Jan von Graffen (43) on board for the institutional business; he will be joining the company in July as Managing Director. He most recently worked for Alte Leipziger/Hallesche as Central Unit Manager Pensions/Cash. Earlier stations included Continentale Versicherungsverbund and health insurer Süddeutsche Krankenversicherung.
