Bochum: Landmarken builds hotel in “Bermuda3Eck”
Landmarken AG of Aachen is planning a hotel and office project in Bochum. The company will purchase the 5,000 sqm former railyard “City-Tor Süd” near the nightlife district “Bermuda3Eck” from the city. Plans by architecture firm ZHAC include a five to ten-story structure with 15,600 sqm GFA. About a third of that will be the planned Economy Design Hotel with just under 170 rooms. The other two thirds will be classic offices and co-working space. Construction on the project, which had originally been planned by Austrian developer 6B47 Real Estate, is anticipated to start in late 2019, completion is planned for 2021. The investment volume is in the upper double-digit millions.
