Dietz AG will be building a complex with 100,000 sqm logistics and 13,000 sqm mezzanine space in Lich near Gießen (Hesse) over the coming two to three years. The Bensheim-based company reports having acquired a 21 ha site on the B457 highway with direct access to the “Fernwald” interchange to the A5. The building plan for the project is expected to be finalized in March 2019, so the first halls could be built in Q2. The investment volume for the “Industrie- und Logistikpark Lich” is in the upper double-digit millions and also includes construction of a traffic circle and turn-around bay. Dietz intends to let the facilities in units of 12,000 to 30,000 sqm. Negotiations are already underway with two interested parties, one of them reportedly a “regional Player”.
