FIM seeks more acquisitions, appoints second managing director

FIM Immobilien Holding has appointed Jan Lerke as its second managing director. Lerke has been in charge of property management since 2013, and has been responsible for optimization and expansion of the existing German portfolio since 2015. In addition to these duties, he will now work with FIM founder Joachim Fleischer to further develop end investors specializing in retail properties. “A dual management team enables us to act quickly and thus accelerate the purchase of suitable properties with development potential,” says Fleischer. This year, the company wants to expand its portfolio of retail parks, discounters and supermarkets by €150mn. “The high demand of the market requires increasingly shorter reaction times,” says Fleischer. The portfolio volume currently amounts to €400mn, with €100mn added last year. In the previous year, the investment volume amounted to €80mn. Fleischer is also considering looking at other asset classes, such as residential projects, in the future as an investor or financial partner.
