Kiel: LHI and BAM build new bank for €90mn
Investitionsbank Schleswig-Holstein (IB.SH) has awarded the contract for the completion and 25-year operation of its new building in Kiel’s Hörn area to a joint venture of LHI Leasing and BAM Deutschland AG. The two five-story buildings will accommodate 650 employees; construction costs will amount to €90.5mn (gross). Groundbreaking is scheduled for the first half of 2019. The property is expected to be ready for occupancy two years later. The Berlin architectural firm Heinle, Wischer und Partner (HW+P) created the building plans. The bank acquired the 5,700 sqm building plots from the city in January and then called for tenders for the PPP project. The bank’s employees are currently working at ten different locations in Kiel.
