LIP Invest acquires Hermes logistics center near Magdeburg
LIP Invest has purchased a logistics property in Haldensleben near Magdeburg. The property, built in 2010 and used by the Otto subsidiary Hermes, is located in the city’s Südhafen area and comprises 30,000 sqm of warehouse and 3,000 sqm of office space. It is the eighth property in the company’s open-ended real estate spezial-AIF “LIP Real Estate Investment Fund – Logistics Germany”. The Otto Group invested more than €15mn in the fulfillment center’s technology three years ago. The seller is Casaplan Seeliger in Saarbrücken. LIP Invest was advised on the transaction by LPA-GGV (legal), WTS (tax) and Gleeds (technical). Goldbeck Procenter is taking over the property management.
