Potsdam: Austrians buy Babelsberg Center


The Austrian real estate firm Immo KAG, a subsidiary of Liechtensteinische Landesbank (Austria), has bought the “Babelsberg Center” in Potsdam. The building erected in 1997 will be part of the portfolio of the open-ended private fund LLB Semper Real Estate. The previous owners were funds managed by Partners Group Arax Properties Ltd. JLL advised the seller exclusively and brokered the transaction. The building on Großbeerenstraße 135 has 17,000 sqm lettable space, of which nearly 13,000 sqm are retail space, and is fully leased long term. Anchor tenants include a Toom DIY market and Netto.
