Reiner Braun will be the new head of Empirica
Marie-Therese Krings-Heckemeier, who founded Empirica in 1990 together with Ulrich Pfeiffer, is leaving the firm’s executive board on 30 April to join the supervisory board. Reiner Braun, Vice-CEO since 2015, will succeed her on 1 May as the new CEO. His appointment is initially for five years. The contracts with board members Ludger Baba, Meike Heckenroth, and Harald Simons are being extended early for another five years as of 1 May. Subsidiary Komet-Empirica will continue to operate under the new name Empirica Regio and converted to a digital supplier of regional data. Jan Grade and Lorenz Thomschke have been named Managing Directors as of 1 July. Along with Krings-Heckemeier, Achim Reif has also been appointed to Empirica’s supervisory board.
