Savills IM bought more than in 2017
Savills Investment Management (Savills IM) had a transaction volume of €4.2bn last year. Of that total, €3.1bn were spent on acquisitions and €1.1bn were sales. In 2017, the total volume was about €5.5bn, with €2.55bn in acquisitions and €2.95bn in sales. In Germany, Savills IM invested roughly €250mn. Purchases included the Nubis in Berlin and a 40,000 sqm office property in Munich. Added to that are two logistics properties for which the purchase contracts have already been signed. For German institutional investors, Savills IM purchased assets across Europe for about €600mn. Equity commitments by institutional investors rose in 2018 to a record figure of €2.6bn, of which about €450mn came from German investors.
