Volckens leaves CA Immo after failed Immofinanz merger

Hans Volkert Volckens resigned yesterday from his position as Chief Financial Officer of CA Immo. The company announced that the departure is by mutual accord in connection with the ended merger talks with Immofinanz and the subsequent acquisition of a 26% stake in CA Immo by Starwood Capital. Volckens, previously CFO and Member of the Management Board at IVG, was named CFO of CA Immo two years ago in order to assist in the planned merger with Immofinanz. He will soon be devoting his time to a new executive function in the real estate industry. The Supervisory Board will discuss his successor in the coming weeks. CEO Andreas Quint will assume CFO responsibilities for the interim period, and his appointment as Chairman will be extended until the end of 2021. Keegan Viscius, long-term Senior Vice President of new majority shareholder Starwood Capital, will be joining CA-Immo’s Management Board as Chief Investment Officer, overseeing investment and asset management, at the beginning of November.
